Access Statement for The Apartment at Ludwick House, 129 Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury
Introduction
Our self catering studio apartment is on the ground floor of a Grade 2 listed Georgian house which is situated on the fringe of Shrewsbury town centre. This statement provides information and facts about the apartment.
Pre arrival
We have a website where we have listed all relevant information regarding where we are situated, pricing and booking details etc.
Bookings can be made by telephone or e-mail, details on the web site. We are a short taxi ride from the train station or a 10-15 minute walk. The nearest bus stop is no more than 200 metres away.
Arrival and car park
There is free private car parking next to the apartment. The car parking is a few metres from the apartment and is flat and level with the entrance.
The entrance offers a level threshold with the door hinging to the left.
The Apartment at Ludwick House is situated up a private drive off Abbey Foregate, you will see the brass numbers 129 on a white pillar, turn up this drive and park in the car park on the left which is 20 metres from the road entrance. The apartment is found 5 metres from the car park.
Main entrance
The outside entrance to the apartment is lit and covered and is at ground level. On entering the apartment there is a small lobby with a shoe rack and ample coat hooks. The door to the apartment from the lobby hinges to the left and is 900mm (3 feet) wide.
The main apartment features a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and bedroom with an ensuite modern shower room.
The apartment
Lounge Area
The area is open plan. There is an oblong dining table set for two, but could sit four people, there are two chairs but more available on request. There is a large L shaped settee easily seating four which can also be made into a large comfortable double bed. The settee faces a flat screen tv and a coal effect fire. The flat features oak flooring throughout and there are rugs set beside the settee and the bed. There is also a radio, dvd player and a large library of books. There is a large coffee table and copious amounts of tourist information.
Kitchen Area
Oven top/hob height is 900mm. and when the oven door is open it is 300mm from the ground.
All other features such as work tops and sink are 900mm. high. The kitcdhen area is well lit with a designer clutch of bulbs. There is a microwave oven sited on the work top also a toaster and kettle.
The cups saucers and plates are on a shelf which is 165cm off the ground but we can resite plates etc. in a lower cupboard if required.
We have an inventory of all kitchen contents if requested but there is everything one would expect in a modern kitchen except a dishwasher.
Bed Area
We have a Super Kingsize Bed which is 6 feet by 6 feet with 800mm space on one side of the bed and masses of space on the other. The bed can be converted easily into two 3 feet single beds and as previously stated a further double bed can be made from the setee. Sheets duvet covers and pillow cases are of high quality and made of Egyptian cotton, the duvet is filled with feathers.
There are two bedside cabinets a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Ensuite
We have a good sized ensuite which is tiled throughout, the entrance door hinges to the left.
There is a shelved area loaded with towels to the right side in the entrance, there is also a heated towel rail, soft closing toilet seat at 540mm and a large enclosed shower area.
Other information
We allow pets but any damage done by them must be paid for.
We have wifi throughout the apartment with the key prominently displayed
No smoking permitted in the apartment but there is a covered area outside where you can.
